PALS Initial and Recertification July 12, 2017

Course Instructions -Please Read Carefully

The PALS Skills Verification course is offered on a drop-in basis, on the below days and at the below location:

2nd Wednesday of the Month: 1:00PM-2:00PM (drop-in)
Currin-Carlisle Learning Center at SFGH
Building 30, 2nd Floor
1001 Potrero Ave. San Francisco, CA 94110

• Required: Bring a hard copy of your PALS Online course certificate to your skills verification appointment.

This PALS registration is for INITIAL CERTIFICATION and RE-CERTIFICATION.

These are now online and consists of two parts.

• Part 1: Online course includes didactic instruction and testing. The online portion of the course should take between 6 to 8 hours.

Within 5 business days of completing this registration form, you will receive an e-mail and course key that will explain how to access the course through the American Heart Association's website. Once you finish the online portion of the course, print out the certificate of completion and attend one of the monthly skills verification. If you have not received your key within 5 business days, please contact Antonio Naguait at 415-206-4529.

• Part 2: is the live skills verification. Skills verification should take about 60 minutes (depending on class size).

NOTE: If this will be your PALS INITIAL Certification- please pick up a course book at the Department of Education and Training (Bldg. 30, Suite 3200) prior to taking the course.

If this will be your PALS RE-CERTIFICATION you may ask for a Pocket Reference Card at the Department of Education and Training (Bldg. 30, Suite 3200) prior to your skills verification appointment, or ask for one on the day of.

We will do everything possible to process requests for course keys up until the day of class. However, we highly recommend that you register at least one and a half weeks prior to the date of the class to ensure ample time to receive and complete the course.

IF you need to CHANGE or CANCEL your registration, you MUST CONTACT a DET staff member. As per DET, Rescheduling is not allowed on Eventbrite.
